The stacking of complementary apartment typologies forms the architectural framework of the project, with each expressed through its own volumetry. Continuous horizontal bands tie the different floors together, creating a unified and calm appearance while giving the building a distinctive and high-quality character.
 
Urban Context
The building is conceived as a free-standing volume that integrates precisely into the morphology of the neighbourhood. A precise incision into the terrain marks the entrance from Sonnenbergstrasse.
 
Architecture
Horizontal bands define the architectural expression of the building, resulting in a uniform and coherent appearance. In the east–west direction, they are formed as beams supporting the loggias located at the building’s corners. Materiality is reduced to a few robust and low-maintenance finishes: exposed concrete, anodised aluminium, large-format glazing, and glass-ceramic on the exterior; terrazzo, anhydrite screed, white plaster, and PU coating in the interior.
 
Apartments
The apartments are organised in plan around a central circulation core. The garden-level and attic apartments each occupy an entire floor, with living spaces opening generously to the south. On the standard floors, two apartments are arranged per level: the bedrooms are positioned around the core, while the living spaces are arranged peripherally and open to both the east and the west.
 
Surroundings
The outdoor spaces follow the site’s topography and are divided into three zones: dense planting along the street working as a visual filter to provide privacy, lawn areas serving as garden, and a planted slope zone.
